Addressing developmental delays identified in online diagnostic assessments can only be successful with the most appropriate tools in terms of both content and method. The most effective method of developing certain basic skills and competences involves online delivery of developmental tools to the students similarly to the test items. Thus, educational computer games and items will be collected, adapted and evaluated, as well as new ones will be developed. Develpmental tools offer several new options in handling developmental differences identified in mathematics, science, reading and general thinking skills (e.g. inductive and deductive reasoning). They can be
used effectively in helping children with learning difficulties to catch up and can contribute to learners making use of the knowledge acquired in class in out-of- school situations.
