The eDia system is therefore suitable for mediating simple multiple-choice items, as well as multimedia elements that make maximum use of the new opportunities provided by technology. This opens doors to studying knowledge and skill domains researched previously in a new, innovative, and for the students: in a motivating environment (e.g. creativity, visual skills, language
abilities and musical literacy), as well as exploring features of skills not yet studied (e.g. dynamic problem-solving ability). Utilizing the opportunities of electronic testing the eDia system will be capable of supplying rapid feedback on learners’ knowledge and skill levels. In its final form the eDia system allows us to continually monitor learners’ development in good time to indicate potential delays and to tailor teaching to the individual.
